12 Great Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Every year we get the chance to spoil the great men in our lives on Father’s Day!  Whether it’s a new dad, a wise dad, a stepdad, a grandfather, godfather, we’ve rounded up some of the best gifts for them!  We all want to show them how much we appreciate them and give them something meaningful.

A Comfy Shirt

Chance loves these shirts.  They are super soft and comfortable to wear all day long.  I love that they can be dressed up or down, and so does Chance (because it makes picking an outfit even easier LOL).  These are his go-tos for weekends whether he’s wearing athleisure to hang around the house or nice shorts to go out and about.

Versatile Shorts

These shorts pair well with the shirts above for hanging around the house or outdoor adventures.  The boys constantly keep us active and Chance loves how comfortable these shorts are.  They are super breathable in the heat, have pockets and allow for easy movement.  I was surprised by how nice they look ‘dressed up’ with a nicer shirt & shoes.  They certainly aren’t the cheapest which is why they make a great gift!

Large Speaker

This next one is a personal favorite in our family – a large speaker that works great on the beach, boat, in the backyard, at a school fair, etc.  Important things we look for: bluetooth, holds a decent amount of charge, waterproof, comfortable carrying handle, loud volume, wheels preferable.  We’ve had this one for years now (you need to sign in to see it), but you have to be a member there to purchase.  This is a similar one available on Amazon for much easier ordering.

Shower Speaker

Similar to the one above, a shower speaker is always a fun gift and bonus – we get to enjoy using it, too!  This one is technically a portable speaker that is waterproof, but it has a suction cup that allows you to attach it to the shower wall.  You can also hang it from the showerhead or a shower caddy that you may also have.  Portability never hurts IMO and actually gives more opportunity for uses than just the shower! (Chance loves playing music during bathtime with the boys & the speaker usually makes its way into their bedroom while getting lotion and pajamas!)

Tools

You can never go wrong with tools! If your guy is an aspiring handyman and is just getting started with his tool collection, a drill & impact driver combo kit is a must-have.  For the gearhead, you can never have too many socket sets hanging around (always a good idea to keep one in the trunk, just in case).  Oh, and if dad always seems to be losing nails and screws while working on his projects, a magnetic wristband is a super-clever contraption that will solve many of his problems.

Grill Set

Another ‘you can’t go wrong’ gift is a grilling tool set.  Even if the dad in your life has some, they usually get more wear and tear than traditional kitchen tools and may need to be replaced.  This set has a beautiful wood handle finish in a nice case that makes it feel like an extra special gift (without the extra cost).  Pair it with this grill basket and your guy will be cooking all of dinner for you on the grill!!!  WINNING 😉  And even better it makes for a great combo gift!

Cooler

This next brand has a ton of products we recommend!  These hard-sided coolers are awesome – lightweight but large in size, durable and long lasting.  This is the perfect size and comes in multiple colors.  They do offer bigger or smaller coolers as well, but this one really hits the sweet spot of holding enough stuff while still being able to easily carry it.  It’s especially great if you have someone in your life who loves boating, hunting, fishing, camping or even just sitting out on the beach all day!  You can also add this useful basket to ensure smaller items stay on top.

Backpack Cooler

This backpack cooler is so awesome because who doesn’t want free hands?!?  We have a backpack cooler from Target, and it’s great but small.  It also has a limited number of hours that it keeps things cold.  This one is way roomier on the inside than its counterparts and less costly, and it’s going to beat any Target/Walmart backpack cooler!  I also saw a dad carrying one through the airport for his family recently.  They had 3 children, and I thought “that’s so smart because airport food is so expensive!”  We will definitely be doing that in the future as the boys can carry more of their own stuff and start eating a lot more!

Water Bottles

Lastly, if anyone in your family or friends is a fan of tumblers, ramblers, or anything that keeps drinks cold for a long time – these water bottles are winners!!  They are such a great price (especially if you catch them on sale) and are really effective at keeping drinks cold.  It’s important to note that the company sells both ‘bottles’ and ‘water bottles.’  I actually prefer the water bottle because it’s taller and skinnier.  I find that it fits better in cupholders, backpacks, purses, etc.  The only drawback to the water bottle is that it only comes in sizes 20 oz and 26 oz.  The bottles come in more sizes – 18 oz, 26 oz, 32 oz and 36 oz – so these are great if you need the 36 oz larger size.  All of the accessories are sold separately, but they are very reasonably priced.  This lid is our family favorite.  Again, all of these items are effective and great at such reasonable prices!!

Noise-Cancelling Headphones

These bluetooth noise cancelling headphones could be just what dad needs to watch that football game or documentary.  They’re larger in size, but that typically allows for the best noise-cancelling capabilities … especially if he has a couple of loud kiddos running around HAHA  They are Chance-tested & Chance-approved 😉 They are cost-effective and come in some cool colors, too.

Pocket Knife

Another dad favorite is a pocket knife (even more unique if it’s personalized).  Chance takes his pocket knives very seriously.  He was an eagle scout back in high school and prides himself on being prepared.  He’s even unfortunately had to ditch one at airport security after forgetting to put it in our checked baggage.  There was a time before that when we remembered at the last minute to put it in our checked bag and ever since then he’s made sure not to bring any special knives on vacation with us.  Thankfully the one he had to leave didn’t have a special meaning behind it. This is a great one on Amazon to start with because it can be personalized and has all of the great basic functions.

In addition to all of these gifts you could get, never discount experiences or memories that can be made.  Chance always appreciates gift certificates for experiences like a straight razor shave or car detailing package!  I know as the boys get older, I’ll likely get an experience that they can all do together 🙂

welcome!

and this is where it all began

As a wife, mom, and business owner, I started this blog as a passion project to share all the things I’ve learned throughout my journey.

To say it’s been a crazy ride would be the understatement of the century, but we have loved sharing our adventures every step of the way.

That’s why I always come back to where it started – this very blog – to continue sharing my tips, tricks, triumphs, and tribulations about all things motherhood, money, business, traveling, and everything in between.

I hope that by sharing these authentic, unfiltered experiences, you can feel seen and heard and learn to embrace the wonder in this messy (but oh, so wonderful) life.
