We also have a gift guide for him with items under $50 here. Oh and if you’re also in need of a guide for women, check out this one!

guy gifts, aviator sunglasses, moccasins, duffle bag, sweater, briefcase

Moccasin Slippers

Nothing better on chilly winter mornings than a cozy pair of slippers! LL Bean has always been synonymous with quality, and their “Wicked Good Moccasins” are no different.  They are shearling lined, made from real sheepskin, and have a durable sole so that you can keep them on if you need to step outside to check the mail or take out the garbage.  They’re a bit more expensive than your run-of-the-mill slippers, but like most items from LL Bean, you definitely get what you pay for.

Sweater Fleece Pullover

Another quality piece from LL Bean.  Again, a bit more expensive than some other fleece jackets, but the quality matches the price.  A big selling point for me is that they come in tall sizes, which is especially hard to find in outerwear. So if your guy is also “vertically gifted” then this is certainly worth a look!  In addition to the pullover style, they also make a full-zip jacket, a full-zip hoodie, and a vest.

Duffle Bag

This is a bit of a splurge considering it’s “just” a duffle bag, but a brand like Filson has the heritage and quality to back it up.  It’s made of thick cotton twill with leather handles/straps, so it can take a beating from airport security and still hold up; but it’s also a perfect size to use as a carry-on if you prefer not to check any bags when you fly. Filson also covers all of their products with a limited lifetime warranty, so you can be confident that you’re buying this for the long term! This is the perfect one for a guy’s weekend trip.

Aviators

Yes, I realize $200+ for a pair of sunglasses seems steep, but these are the real deal aviator sunglasses – they’re the same sunglasses that have been issued to all U.S. military pilots for the past 40 years.  Every other pair of aviators is just a poser compared to these.  So you definitely can’t beat the “cool” factor.  And unlike big-name sunglasses, you’re not just paying for the brand name; you’re getting a high-quality, made-in-the-USA product with a stellar reputation (just ask any Air Force/Navy/Marine Corp pilot).  Randolph’s frames are covered by a lifetime warranty (they’ll repair any broken solder joints at no charge), and all other parts are covered by a 2-year limited warranty.

Cordless Drill & Driver Set

A good cordless drill and impact driver are must-haves for any serious DIYer, and this combo kit is a great bang for your buck. Both feature brushless motors (which are much more efficient than traditional brushed motors, translating to longer battery life), plus the kit includes 2 batteries, a battery charger, and a carry bag.  I have a bunch of Dewalt cordless power tools and have been very impressed with their quality and durability.

Noise-Cancelling Headphones

If you’re shopping for a dad (or mom!) with young kids, nothing beats the gift of silence! All kidding aside, though, a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones is great for anyone who loves listening to music.  They help drown out any background noise so that you can truly enjoy what you’re listening to.  Great for airplane travel, office environments (when you just want to block out your co-workers), or any noisy situations in general.  This pair is a really good price, and the fit is comfortable!

Leather Briefcase

Got a guy who’s working his way up the corporate ladder? Help him look the part with a quality leather briefcase.  This one has a padded laptop pocket, lots of pockets, and a detachable shoulder strap, so it can double as a carry-on bag when traveling (for business OR pleasure).

welcome!

I'm Kimberly

and this is where it all began

As a wife, mom, and business owner, I started this blog as a passion project to share all the things I’ve learned throughout my journey.

To say it’s been a crazy ride would be the understatement of the century, but we have loved sharing our adventures every step of the way.

That’s why I always come back to where it started – this very blog – to continue sharing my tips, tricks, triumphs, and tribulations about all things motherhood, money, business, traveling, and everything in between.

I hope that by sharing these authentic, unfiltered experiences, you can feel seen and heard and learn to embrace the wonder in this messy (but oh, so wonderful) life.
