Welcome To Our Podcast

Wow!  We are SO excited to be starting this podcast and even more excited that you are here to take the journey with us – your support means so much!

My husband, Chance, & I started Messy Wonderful – named because our life is messy but truly in a wonderful way – about 2 years ago because we wanted to share exactly how we are able to continue traveling with babies, toddlers & now 3 kids all at once!  That little laugh you hear in the intro – that’s our youngest Beckett – and is there truly a sound more wonderful than a baby’s cackle laughter?!?  I think not!

I’m Kimberly – a wife, mom to 3 kids ages 5 & under, full time CPA & blogger.  We have 3 of the sweetest little boys – Hunter (5), Gage (3) & Beckett (19m).  Baby #4 is due mid-summer 2022.

I want you to feel welcome in this space … sort of like you’re sitting on the back porch on a beautiful spring evening with your best friends.  You may have a coffee, a glass of wine, or right now, my fave a Diet Dr. Pepper in your hands 😉  or more realistically … maybe you’re running around like a crazy person with your earbuds in, thankful that our podcast episodes are short & sweet HAHA  It’s cool – I’m right there with you!

Chance worked for Delta Airlines back when we lived in Atlanta which meant we got to fly standby for free.  We both LOVE to travel & after Hunter was born, we knew we didn’t want to give traveling up nor leave him behind.

Of course our traveling looks a little different these days, and we’ll be chatting all about that on this podcast. But it has become important to us to empower more parents to either continue traveling or start traveling with their kids.  It’s an amazing experience to see the world through your kids’ eyes.  Hunter is only 5 & we’ve already made some amazing memories that will last a lifetime.

On this podcast you’ll hear:

  • our best tips for making travel as easy as possible with babies & toddlers
  • lots of Disney hacks (we’re actually Disney Vacation Club members)
  • traveling as a big family because it’s definitely not as easy as just being a family of 4

We’re also going to start sharing a lot more about our journey with Hunter’s autism diagnosis.  We weren’t open about our journey at first, but now we realize how many others are going through the same thing and we are happy to share as much as we can to help.  It amazed me how many moms have reached out to me since I’ve shared little tidbits here and there about Hunter.  Of course we’re still learning as he’s only 5, but sheesh, just getting the diagnosis was an adventure!

We ultimately created this weekly podcast because we know many of the parents that follow along with us are busy with kids, full time jobs and everything else.  You’ll still be able to find everything on the blog if you prefer to read; BUT if you’re like me – constantly on the go – doing laundry, dishes or chauffeuring kids around, this podcast will be perfect for you.  We’ll be keeping our episodes short & sweet so you can squeeze them into those little pockets of time you have!

Thank you again for being here with us! DM us on instagram @messy_wonderful if there’s anything you specifically want to hear about 🙂

welcome!

I'm Kimberly

and this is where it all began

As a wife, mom, and business owner, I started this blog as a passion project to share all the things I’ve learned throughout my journey.

To say it’s been a crazy ride would be the understatement of the century, but we have loved sharing our adventures every step of the way.

That’s why I always come back to where it started – this very blog – to continue sharing my tips, tricks, triumphs, and tribulations about all things motherhood, money, business, traveling, and everything in between.

I hope that by sharing these authentic, unfiltered experiences, you can feel seen and heard and learn to embrace the wonder in this messy (but oh, so wonderful) life.
